Date-Place: 1981-Ankara/Turkey
Abdullah YILDIZ received his
PhD in physics from Gazi University (Turkey) in 2008 with a study on epitaxial
ternary III-V semiconductor compounds. He worked on the electrical
and magnetic properties of these compounds. Thereafter, he switched to the
field of metal-oxide thin films and nanostructures, carrier transport phenomena
as well as thermoelectric properties. His ongoing research interests
concentrate on developing new materials for third generation photovoltaics, understanding,
and controlling the optoelectronic processes occurring within the devices.
