Prof. YILMAZ BİNGÖL

Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Bingöl earned his undergraduate degree from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Letters, Department of Turkish Language and Literature between 1986 and 1990. He completed two Master's degrees at Indiana University Bloomington: one in Central Eurasian Studies (1996-1998) and another in Political Science (1998-2000). He obtained his Ph.D. from Indiana University Bloomington in Central Eurasian Studies (with a Minor in Political Science) between 1998 and 2002.

He began his academic career as an Assistant Professor at Kocaeli University from in 2002, became an Associate Professor in 2011 , and has been serving as a Professor at Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Political Science and Public Administration since 2011.

His primary research interests include identity politics, political science, public administration, and language policies. He is proficient in English (C1), as well as having knowledge of German (A2), Persian (B1), Turkmen (B1), and Uzbek (B1).
