Biography

PROF. DR. MEHMET ÜNAL

He was born in 1963 in Kumpınar Village, Kahraman Kazan district of Ankara. He completed his primary school education in his village and his secondary and high school education in Bolu. He graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Theology in 1988. Between 1987 and 1992, he served in different positions at the Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of National Education. He started his academic life at Yüzüncü Yıl University, Faculty of Theology, in 1993. He completed his master's and doctoral studies at Ankara University Social Sciences Institute (1994-2002). He became an associate professor in 2008 and a professor in 2014. Mehmet Ünal has been working as a faculty member at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Theology since 2013.
