Biography
He graduated from Izmir Atatürk High School in 1990. He completed his undergraduate education at METU, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of History in 1997. He received his master's degree in 2001 and his doctorate in 2007 with his dissertation titled "Religion-State Relationship in Timurids" at Ege University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Medieval History. In 2012, he received the title of Associate Professor in the field of General Turkish History. Between 1998 and 2012, he worked as a Research Assistant and Assistant Professor at Ege University, Faculty of Letters, Department of History. He was appointed as Associate Professor in 2012 and Professor in 2017 in the Department of History at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University and currently serves in this staff. He continues his academic studies on political, social, and cultural issues related to the Timurid, Akkoyunlu, Karakoyunlu and Safavid states.Contact
