Assoc. Prof. HALİL İBRAHİM DOĞAN

He was born in 1988 in Reşadiye district of Tokat. He graduated from Reşadiye Imam Hatip High School in 2006. In September 2007, he started working as an imam-hatip in Doğubayazıt district of Ağrı in the Presidency of Religious Affairs. In 2012, he graduated from Hitit University Faculty of Theology, which he started in 2008. In 2013, he left his position as imam-hatip and was appointed as a research assistant to Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Hadith Department. He completed his master's degree in Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Basic Islamic Sciences in 2015 with his thesis titled Muhammad al-Tâhir b. Âshûr (1879-1973) and His Place in the Science of Hadith and his doctorate in 2021 with his thesis titled al-Sunan al-Kabîr of al-Bayhaqî (d. 458/1066) in terms of the Science of Hadith. Doğan, who received the title of Associate Professor in the field of Hadith in 2024, has authored and translated books, book chapters, journal editorships, published articles and papers.
