Prof. FATMA ELİF ERGİN

She was born on July 12, 1976 in Safranbolu. She received his bachelor's degree from Selçuk University Faculty of Vocational Education, Child Development and Education Department in 1997. She completed his master's degree at the same university with her thesis on emotional intelligence.  Between 2001 and 2002, he was an ESL three-semester student at Catholic University. Between 2002 and 2005, she studied mother-child interactions, alternative approaches in education, Montessori method, children's books, and children's library services for children in various schools and institutions in the United States of America. She was granted the title of doctor with her thesis on mother-child interaction in 2011. She started his duty as a research assistant at Selçuk University in 1998, continued at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University Faculty of Education Department of Preschool Education in 2007, and was appointed as Assistant Professor in 2012. She took part in the establishment of the BAIBU Preschool Education Application and Research Center between 2010-2012 and worked as a manager. She served as the Advisor to the President of the Council of Higher Education between 2012-2014 and lectured at Ankara University Faculty of Health Sciences as a visiting professor. 2014-2016, she served as a Member of the Board of Education of the Ministry of National Education. In 2016, she was appointed as the founding head of the Department of Child Development at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Health Sciences and held this position until March 31, 2026. She received the title of associate professor in 2019, served as the vice dean between 2019-2021, and served as the chairman of the faculty board of directors, the member of the institute board of directors, and the senate. Between 2022 and 2023, she served as the Director of the Institute of Health Sciences, a member of the senate, a member of the quality board, a member of the faculty board, and the chairman of the institute's board of directors. She worked as an executive, researcher, and expert in various projects supported by the European Union, TUBITAK, and University resources. She has studies on family education, mother-child interaction, alternative approaches in education, the Montessori method, cognitive and language development, children's publications, interactive reading, environmental education, children's rights, values education, and differentiated education. She has articles in international and national journals and presented papers at various congresses. She is a board member of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Alumni and Members Association and carries out research and development studies voluntarily in various non-governmental organizations.
