Assoc. Prof. FATMA BAYRAKTAR KARAHAN

She graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Theology in 1999. She memorised the Qur'an during his time as a student at the faculty. She completed his master's degree at the same university in the Department of Theology with a thesis entitled ‘The Emergence of a God-Centred Understanding of Theology’ and his doctorate in 2008 with a thesis entitled ‘The Relationship between Prayer and Destiny’. She served as a religious counsellor and guide in nurseries, foster homes, and boarding schools affiliated with the Social Services Agency, as well as in Family Guidance and Counselling offices. She attended a six-month course in Germany on ‘Crisis Management and Spiritual Guidance in Emergencies’ for Muslims and Christians and worked as a ‘spiritual guide’ in the city of Dortmund. She served on the Advisory Board and the Ditip High Religious Consultative Board during the establishment of the Islamic Theology Centre at the University of Tübingen in Germany.
