Cevahir Uzkurt, Ph.D.
UZKURT is a graduate of Marmara University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration, Turkey in 1995. He received master’s degree from Istanbul University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Social Politics, Turkey in 1998; and received doctor of philosophy degree from Marmara University, Faculty of Business Administration, Department of Business Administration, Turkey in 2002. Uzkurt received the associate professor title in 2010 and the professor title in 2017.
He worked at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Eskişehir Osmangazi University and Kırıkkale University in Turkey. He worked as a visiting professor at Alliant International University, USA as well.
He performs duty as a vice-Chancellor at the Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University where He is currently working as a faculty member of the Faculty of Business Administration at the same time. He performs duties as Advisor to the Chancellor, the Head of the Business Department, and the Deputy Chairman of the Technology Transfer Center of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University.
Uzkurt served as Deputy Undersecretary at The Ministry of Industry And Technology of Turkey; served as the director-general at The Directorate General of Science and Technology at the given ministry; served as a member of the scientific board and a member of the patent advisory board at the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT); served as the member of scientific board at The Scientific And Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK); served as the vice president of the Turkey Credit Guarantee Fund (KGF), and served as the chairman of Small And Medium Enterprises Development Organization of Turkey (KOSGEB). He took part in the development of Turkey's national innovation system, policies, and legislation.
His research areas focus on innovation, R&D management, innovative organizational culture, technological entrepreneurship, national innovation systems, technology development zones, state supports and R&D centers, service marketing, and market-oriented communication and marketing approaches.
He teaches these given research areas at the university where he is a member of and provides
consultancy to the private sector. He has a significant number of academic articles and books on
his professions. Uzkurt has three children and lives with his wife in Ankara, Turkey.
