Prof. AYŞE ÇOLPAN KAVUNCU YALDIZ

Biography

Ayşe Çolpan KAVUNCU YALDIZ has been working at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University's Faculty of Political Sciences since 2016. She completed her undergraduate education at Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration. Yaldız finished her master's degree in 2005 in the Department of Urbanization and Environmental Problems at Gazi University Institute of Social Sciences and completed her Ph.D. in 2012 in the Department of Urban Policy Planning and Local Governments at METU Institute of Social Sciences. After working as an Assistant Professor at İnönü University and the Police Academy, Yaldız became an Associate Professor at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University in 2017 and was promoted to Professor in 2023, continuing her work at the same university. Yaldız has various works on urban politics and the Turkish local government system and is also specialized in the Post-Soviet geography, Uzbekistan, and security studies.
