Dr. Şahin Yeşilyurt graduated from the Department of Public
Finance at Dokuz Eylül University in 2012. He completed his joint master’s
program at Bülent Ecevit University and Sakarya University in 2014, and earned
his Ph.D. in Public Finance from the Institute of Social Sciences at Ankara
Yıldırım Beyazıt University in 2020.
During and after his doctoral studies, he conducted research
as a visiting scholar at the Faculty of History, University of Cambridge, for
one year each (in 2018–2019 and 2023–2024), supported by TÜBİTAK scholarships.
Dr. Yeşilyurt currently serves as Vice Dean of the Faculty
of Political Science at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. His research
interests include fiscal history, Ottoman fiscal history, public finance in the
Republican period, and the history of Islamic economic thought.
