Biography

Seda Ekmen Özçelik is an Associate Professor at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from Middle East Technical University. Her research focuses on international trade, economic development and environmental economics, with an applied econometrics orientation (panel data and time series). She has published in international journals such as International Journal of Finance & Economics, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, and Central Bank Review. In addition to academic work, she has taken active roles in national and EU-funded policy projects related to SME competitiveness, social cohesion, women’s economic empowerment, and the labor markets, serving as researcher, independent assessor, and financial analyst. Her current work examines global production networks and their implications for competitiveness, development paths, and environmental outcomes in emerging market economies.
