Assoc. Prof. SERVET DEMİRBAŞ

Servet DEMİRBAŞ was born in 1968 in Erzincan/Üzümlü. He graduated from Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Theology (2014). He completed his master's degree at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Institute of Social Sciences with his thesis titled "Method of Tafsir in Hadâiku'r-Ravhi wa'r-Rayhân fî Ravâbî Ulûmi'l-Qur'an -The Example of the Surah of al-Imrân" (2016) and his doctorate at the same institute with his research titled "The Relationship between Tafsir and Logic" (2020). He worked as a lecturer in the Department of Arabic Language and Rhetoric at AYBU Faculty of Theology (2017-2022). DEMİRBAŞ, who is currently working as a Dr. Lecturer in the Department of Arabic Language and Rhetoric at the same faculty, is the author of the books titled Tafsir-Mantik İlişkisi (Ankara: FECR Publications, 2022) and Konulu Tafsir al-Midhatü'l-kübrâ Örneği in the Ottoman Tafsir Tradition (FECR Publications, 2023). He has academic publications on linguistic tafsir, al-Ishārī tafsir and the relationship between the disciplines of tafsir and logic and continues his studies in this field.
