Professor Özden Yalçınkaya Alkar (PhD) earned her Bachelor's
degree in Psychology and her Master's (M.A.) and Ph.D. degrees in Clinical
Psychology from the Department of Psychology at Middle East Technical
University (METU). During her Master's program, she spent one year studying at
the University of Alberta in Canada. In addition to her undergraduate teaching,
she provides theoretical and applied courses in Psychopathology and Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy (CBT)-based Psychotherapy in the Clinical Psychology
Master's and General Psychology Doctorate Programs at AYBÜ. She also offers
CBT-oriented supervision training. Her research focuses on emotion regulation
difficulties in various psychopathologies, personality and personality
disorders, addictions related to smoking and technology, and CBT.
