Prof. ÖMÜR AKDEMİR

He is a Professor in the Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Department of Management Information Systems. He is recognized for his expertise in learning management systems, human–computer interaction, and technology integration. 

Throughout his career, extensive administrative responsibilities have been undertaken. He has served as Rector’s Advisor for Quality, Department Head, Vice Dean, Faculty Board Member, University Senate Member, Founding Director of the Distance Education Center, and Rectorate Coordinator. Through these roles, significant contributions have been made to academic governance, strategic planning, curriculum development, quality assurance, and institutional coordination. Interdisciplinary collaboration has been supported, and the integration of technology into both educational and administrative processes has been actively promoted.

He has also worked for many years at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University and served at Başkent University, gaining extensive academic and administrative experience across different institutional environments.

He teaches courses such as computer programming, human–computer interaction, software development, e-government and digital transformation, systems analysis, web programming, and research methods, with a strong emphasis on usability.
