Assoc. Prof. MUHAMMET ENES KALA

Biography

Muhammet Enes Kala was born in 1984 in Konya to a family from Adana. After completing his primary and secondary education in the charming schools of beautiful Anatolia due to his father's civil service, he graduated from Ankara Tevfik İleri Anatolian Imam-Hatip High School. In 2002, he graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Theology with a thesis titled “Aristotle's Evaluation of Philosophers Before Him” in 2006. After his graduation, he worked as a teacher in the Ministry of National Education and then worked in the Board of Education and Instruction for a while. He received a scholarship from the Ministry of National Education to study abroad and completed his master's degree at the Department of Philosophy at the University of Liverpool in 2009 with a thesis titled “A Study of Rousseau's Concept of The General Will, with Reference to The Distinction Between Positive and Negative Liberty”. In the same year, he completed his second master's degree at Ankara University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Philosophy and Religious Sciences with the thesis titled “The Relationship between Morality and Habit in Arithotle, Ibn Sina and Ravaisson”. In 2009, Muhammed Enes Kala also received a diploma degree from the Department of International Relations at the University of Karachi, Pakistan. On March 12, 2015, Muhammed Enes Kala completed his thesis titled “New Approaches to Virtue and Duty Ethics: David Ross and Alasdair MacIntyre” on March 12, 2015. Between 2014-2015, he worked as a visiting researcher at the University of Tübingen, Germany. He is currently working as a faculty member at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Philosophy. Apart from the books that Muhammed Enes Kala is the author and editor of, he has published articles, papers and translations in academic journals and various articles in literary journals. Kala, who has prepared and presented many television and radio programs, is married with two children.
