Assoc. Prof. MEHMET ÇANAKCI

Mehmet ÇANAKCI, who was born in Elazığ in 1987, completed his primary and secondary education in Elazığ. He received his undergraduate education from Istanbul University, Department of Economics, and his Master's degree from Ankara University, Department of Economics in 2013. He completed his PhD studies in Economics at Istanbul University in 2017.

Mehmet ÇANAKCI, who worked as an Expert at the Ministry of Finance between 2010 and 2018, took part in international meetings or institutions as a speaker, trainee or researcher.

In addition, she is a member of the Turkey team of Y-20, one of the expansion groups of G-20, and was selected as the Country Observer in 2016.

In addition to her academic studies, she conducts research in the fields of Macro Economy and Development, Islamic Finance-Banking and Public Finance. Since multidisciplinary studies are a necessity of the digital age, it also carries out AI-supported financial research studies.

He has been working in the Department of Finance, Faculty of Political Sciences, since January 2023. At the same time, he has been conducting research and teaching at the Department of Economics at the University of New Orleans, USA, with the support of TÜBİTAK since September 2023.
