In 2011, he started to work as a research assistant at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Oriental Languages and Literatures. He completed his undergraduate (2009) and MA (2014) in Arabic Language and Literature at Atatürk University and Arabic Language Teaching at Gazi University, and his doctorate (2020) in Arabic Language and Literature at Ankara University with the title “The Rise and Development of the Modern Algerian Arabic Novel (1962-1992)”. During his doctoral research, he lived as visiting researcher in Algeria at different periods. In 2022-2023, he completed his postdoctoral research at the University of London, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). Since 2024, he has been working as a faculty member in the Department of Arabic Translation and Interpreting.

His leading research interests are Arabic Language and Literature, Pragmatics, Translation Studies, Translation Criticism, Literary Theories, Literary Criticism, Postcolonial Theory and Algerian Novel. His current research focuses on the political, sociological and cultural connections of postcolonial Arab novels in the light of literary theories.

He teaches the courses such as Grammar, Textual Studies, Contemporary Arab World, Complex Language Structures, Reading and Analysing, Technical Translation, Consecutive Translation, Resistance Literature in the Arab World, Postcolonialism and Literature.
