Biography

Dr. İlay Hicret Öztürk completed her PhD at the University of Edinburgh in 2019, where she examined the dynamics of institutional change in Scottish Civil Justice System. She holds an MBA in Change Management from Carleton University (2013) and a double major- BA in Business Administration and BS in Information Systems & Technologies, both earned with full scholarships at Yeditepe University.

Dr. Öztürk’s research is situated within the macro domain of organization studies and draws on institutional theory to understand the interplay between structural, cultural, and emotional dynamics that shape social, organizational and professional life. Her current work explores the relational and affective foundations of institutional persistence and transformation.
