Assoc. Prof. GÜLAY YAZICI

Biography

I graduated from Karadeniz Technical University, Department of Nursing, in 2002, completing my undergraduate education. I completed my master's degree in 2010 and my doctorate in 2016 from Gazi University Institute of Health Sciences.  After completing my bachelor's degree, I worked as a clinical/charge nurse at Gazi University Hospital for 11 years. In 2013, I began working as a Research Assistant at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. After finishing my doctorate, I was appointed as an assistant professor at the same university in 2017.  In March 2023, I was appointed Associate Professor in the Department of Surgical Nursing. I currently work as an Associate Professor at the same university.   I served as Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences from 2018 to 2019, Deputy Head of Department from 2020 to 2021, and Head of the Nursing Department beginning in April 2023. Between 2021 and 2023, I worked at the Turkish Health Institutes Directorate, TÜSKA, on an assignment from our university under Article 38. I have numerous national/international books and papers on quality indicators, particularly in the field of surgical nursing.
