Biography

Dr. Fadi Yilmaz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University. His research interests span language-based and systems security, exploit generation, and their application to web, mobile, and Internet-of-Things security. He received her Bachelor’s in Computer Science from TOBB Economy and Technology University in 2009. His graduate education was sponsored by the Turkish government and he received his Master’s in Computer Science from Florida State University in 2014. His Ph.D. in Software and Information systems from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2020, concentrated on software security. Specific areas of interest: program analysis and verification, in-lined reference monitoring (binary instrumentation), security policies, language-based solutions for web, mobile security, and IoT security.
