Assoc. Prof. ENDER ŞİMŞEK

Biography

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ender ŞİMŞEK graduated from Hacettepe University (Ankara, Turkey), Department of Biology in 1992. He received his master's degree in Molecular Biology from American University (Washington DC, USA) in 1997. Then, in 2005, he completed his PhD in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Thomas Jefferson University (Philadelphia, USA). In 2007, he finished his postdoctoral training in Microbiology and Immunology at Drexel University (Philadelphia, USA). Between 2008-2010, he worked as a Doctor Research Assistant at Sakarya University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, followed by a temporary assignment as a Doctor Research Assistant at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine between 2009-2010. Afterwards, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Sakarya University, Faculty of Science and Literature between 2010-2011 and as an Assistant Professor at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine with temporary assignment in the same years. Between 2011-2018, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Medicine. Since 2018, he has been working as an Associate Professor at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Medicine and since 2019 Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Institute of Health Sciences Forensic Sciences A.D. he has been working as the Head of Forensic Sciences Department of since 2019.
