Res. Asst. AYGÜN YILMAZ UZUNÖZ

Aygün Yılmaz Uzunöz was born in Ankara in 1994. She graduated from the Faculty of Theology at Ankara University in 2016. At the same time, she completed the double major program in the Department of History at the Faculty of Language, History, and Geography at Ankara University in 2017. In the same year, she was appointed as a Research Assistant in the Department of Islamic History and Arts at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University’s Faculty of Theology. In 2020, she completed her Master’s degree in Islamic History at the Social Sciences Institute of Ankara University, and in 2025, she will complete her PhD studies. During her graduate studies, she has been abroad for language training and academic development. As part of this, she has been accepted for the 2025–2026 academic year at Harvard University’s Center for Middle Eastern Studies (CMES) and Brandeis University Department of Nearn Eastern and Judaic Studies (NEJS), where she will continue her academic work at both universities. She has published book chapters, translation works, and articles in the field of Islamic History.
