Res. Asst. AHMET ŞEHİT TUNA

He was born in Ankara in 1997. He completed his primary and secondary education in Istanbul. In 2018, he graduated from the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University. In the same year, he began his master's studies in Qur'anic exegesis (tafsir) at Istanbul 29 Mayıs University, which he completed in 2021 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. M. Taha Boyalık with a thesis titled “Kuṭbuddīn al-Fālī’s al-Taqrīb fī al-Tafsīr as a Source for al-Ṭībī’s Futūḥ al-Ghayb”.

Currently pursuing his doctoral studies at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ünal with a dissertation titled “The Sources of Muḥammad al-Ṭāhir ibn ʿĀshūr’s al-Taḥrīr wa al-Tanwīr”, Tuna has been serving as a research assistant in Qur'anic exegesis at the same university since 2020.
