Biography

Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Yıldırım is a faculty member at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Şereflikoçhisar Faculty of Applied Sciences, Department of Banking and Finance.

He completed his undergraduate studies in Economics (English) at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Pamukkale University, in 2017. He received his Master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Management from Kayseri University in 2020, and successfully completed his Ph.D. in Business Administration at the same university in 2024.

In his doctoral dissertation titled “An Analysis of the Impact of R&D Expenditures on Firm Value through Panel Data Analysis: The Case of Borsa Istanbul (BIST)”, he examined the effects of innovation activities on firm value using panel data analysis methods. His master’s thesis, titled “The Effect of Exchange Rate Volatility on the Performance of Manufacturing Firms: An Application on BIST100”, analyzed the impact of exchange rate fluctuations on the financial performance of manufacturing firms, focusing on the relationship between financial stability and the real sector.

Dr. Yıldırım began his academic career as a Research Assistant at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University in 2020 and has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the same department since 2025.

His research interests include financial performance analysis, firm valuation, the banking sector, digital finance, digital banking, capital markets, and econometric methods in financial analysis. Through his research, he aims to contribute to the development of Turkish financial markets and promote sustainable economic growth.

Dr. Yıldırım teaches courses in finance and banking at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. His teaching activities focus on enhancing students’ analytical thinking, financial analysis, and applied research skills.
