Prof. AYŞE DEMİR

Biography

She completed her undergraduate education at Erciyes University, Department of Turkish Language and Literature in 2001. She worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of New Turkish Literature at the same university between 2002 and 2010, and completed her master's degree in 2003 and her doctorate in 2009. Her doctoral thesis titled Space in Turkish Story (1870-1922 Period) was published by Kesit Publications under the name The Story of Space - The Space of the Story. She was a visiting researcher at Justus-Liebig University between December 2004 and May 2005, and at Oxford University between 2008-2009. She continues her work in the fields of Turkish story, women's literature, identity and humor and makes theoretical translations. She has been working as a faculty member at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Turkish Language and Literature since 2011.
