Prof. Dr. ÖZGE SÜRÜCÜ

Prof. Dr. Özge Sürücü completed her graduate studies at the Department of Physics, Middle East Technical University (METU). She currently serves as a Professor in the Department of Energy Systems Engineering at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBÜ).

Specializing in computational materials science, her pioneering research focuses on Density Functional Theory (DFT), innovative two-dimensional materials, and solid-state hydrogen storage technologies, alongside thin-film solar cells, semiconductor devices, and optoelectronics. By integrating advanced simulation tools into the quantum-level modeling of surfaces, interfaces, and low-dimensional systems, she makes significant contributions to the international literature.

Driven by the vision of translating scientific research into industrial applications, Prof. Dr. Sürücü is the co-founder of SRCTECH Bilişim ve Enerji Teknolojileri, an R&D company based in Teknopark Ankara. Through this initiative, she leads R&D projects in sustainability, computational materials discovery, and renewable energy technologies, successfully transforming her academic expertise into high-value technological innovations.
