Esra Özen, born in Samsun in 1991, completed her primary, secondary, and high school education there, and studied for her bachelor's degree at Ankara University Faculty of Law from 2009 to 2013. Under Law No. 1416, she received a scholarship to study in Göttingen, Germany, at the Georg-August University Department of Labor and Social Security Law, where she completed her master's degree between 2015 and 2017 and her doctorate between 2018 and 2023 under the supervision of Prof. Rüdiger Krause. Her master's thesis was on temporary employment relationships, and her doctoral thesis was on whistleblowing.
