After graduating from the Department of Archaeology and History of Art at Bilkent University in 2007, I continued my master's degree in the Department of History of Art at Gazi University in 2008 to research Turkish house architecture and ornamentation. In my master's thesis, I examined 21 houses on Tokat Bey Street in terms of both architecture and ornamentation. I continued my doctoral studies at the same university, but switched to a different field and focused on religious iconography. In my doctoral thesis, I studied Mary, the mother of Jesus, an important character of the Christian religion. 137 works of Mary's life dated to the Early Renaissance period were analyzed in terms of iconographic and iconological meanings. In addition, both the place of Mary in the Christian religion and the political structure of the Renaissance period, as well as the factors affecting art, were discussed. Since 2023, I have been lecturing on Byzantine and Medieval Art in the Department of Art History at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. I continue to work on different topics related to Old Testament and New Testament iconography and mythology.
