This study is carried out in order to increase the retention performance of synthetic boron compounds. For this purpose, the test samples prepared from Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris Lipsky), European oak (Quercus petraea Liebl.) and Oriental Beech (Fagus orientalis Lipsky) woods and impregnated with dipping method in accordance with the principles of TS 6193 EN 84 by using 12 different composisiton of Developed Impregnation Liquid (DIL). The impregnated test materials are tested according to TS 6193 EN 84 principles. It has been found that the retention amount and leaching resistance of the DIL is approximately 2 times higher than the ones which are impregnated with boron compounds. DIL is more environmentally friendly than other toxic impregnation materials which are harmful for human health such as CCA beside its preservation feature against biotic and abiotic factors through boron compounds content. Moreoever the wood materials impregnated with DIL can be recycled comparatively more easily and in a healthy way at the end of economical lifetime.
