The aim of the study is to investigate the instructors` views on learner autonomy. In this study, it is aimed to reveal what the views of the instructors at a private university are on learner autonomy, specifically on the involvement of the learners in decision-making process. 30 instructors participated the study. It is assumed that teachers have positive views on learner autonomy, and they implement some of the techniques to an extent. The findings reveal that the instructors support the idea of autonomy; however, they prefer not to include students in decision-making process.
