Özet
This study investigates the vibration damping behaviour of polymer honeycomb beams fabricated by FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling). In the study, honeycomb filled beam specimens are fabricated considering different geometrical parameters (wall thickness, cell edge length, fill ratio) and the effects of these parameters on the vibration characteristics are analysed. In addition, the contribution of the honeycomb geometry to the damping performance is evaluated by comparison with unfilled (shell type) and fully filled beams. In the modal analysis, the frequency response and damping ratios were obtained using a hammer impact test and an accelerometer. The finite element method was used to determine the effect of dimensional errors, which can occur during the manufacturing process, on the vibration behaviour. The results obtained show that with appropriate geometric design of honeycomb structures, vibration damping performance can be improved while maintaining low weight. These results are particularly instructive for the design of lightweight and high performance passive vibration control elements.
