Abstract

In contemporary military operations, drones have emerged as pivotal assets, providing

unprecedented capabilities in surveillance, reconnaissance, and tactical operations. The functionality of

these unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) hinges significantly on their communication systems, which

facilitate real-time data transmission and command execution. Traditionally, wireless communication has

been the standard for drones, owing to its flexibility and ease of deployment. However, wireless systems

often encounter vulnerabilities, particularly in contested environments where adversaries employ

electronic warfare tactics such as jamming and signal interception. In such scenarios, the introduction of

wired communication presents a compelling alternative, offering enhanced security and reliability. Wired

systems are inherently more resistant to electronic interference, as they provide a direct and secure link

that significantly reduces the risk of signal disruption and data breaches. This potential for improved

communication integrity is crucial in military contexts, where the assurance of command and control can

decisively influence mission outcomes. Thus, exploring the integration of wired communication

technologies in military drones not only addresses existing vulnerabilities but also augments their

operational efficacy, promising a strategic advantage in modern warfare.
