Özet
The pathogenesis of acne is a chronic inflammatory process of a multifactorial nature taking place in the pilosebaceus unit. Although new mechanisms underlying acne have been demonstrated recently in molecular biology, genetics, and immunology, the aetiopathogenesis of the disease has not been fully clarified yet. Here, the classical basic mechanisms in the pathogenesis of acne will be discussed in the first section and then the current developments and novelties that need to be known in its aetiopathogenesis will be summarised.
