Özet
This presentation highlights two parallel initiatives designed to deliver practical, community-driven
outcomes for the FABER Action. The aim is to present tools and data that the wider fatigue
community can adopt, use and further develop. First, we present a newly compiled benchmarkready
dataset for assessing TIG-dressed welded joints. This work stems from a recent STSM and
integrates geometric parameters and fatigue test data from a comprehensive literature review with
preliminary finite element analyses. The dataset supports the calibration and validation of local
stress-based fatigue models, directly contributing to WG5.3’s objectives. Second, we introduce
an open-source, modular software framework for systematically benchmarking multiaxial fatigue
criteria. Developed within WG4.3, the framework features a plugin-like architecture for easy
implementation and comparison of critical-plane, invariant-based and energy-based models against
experimental data under both in-phase and out-of-phase loading. It centralises non-proportional
loading handling and automatically generates comparative plots and summary tables for direct use
in reports and publications. We encourage FABER members and the wider research community
to adopt these resources, contribute new data and models and collaborate on refining these tools
to advance standardised and reliable fatigue assessment practices.
