Abstract

Aneurysms of Valsalva sinus (AVSs) are rare anomalies, most often caused by the congenital absence of muscular and elastic tissue in the aortic wall. Aneurysm of the left sinus of Valsalva is extremely rare (1-2%). The indication for surgical repair of unruptured AVSs and repair technique are controversial at the time of diagnosis. We report herein the successful surgical treatment of a 64-year-old woman who had a large, unruptured aneurysm of LSV accompanied with aortic stenosis, ascending and arcus aortic aneurysm and coronary artery disease.
