Abstract

Pituitary apoplexy after coronary bypass operations is a rare complication with very serious neurologic consequences. Anisocory, unilateral ptosis, and third cranial nerve palsy after coronary bypass surgery developed in a patient. The diagnosis was assured by computerized tomographic scan showing pituitary macro adenoma. © 2010 The Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
