In this study, the distortion analysis is performed of the system of non-linear optoelectronic feedback laser dode with two tone input small signal by using Volterra power series expansion. Frequency components are specially selected for intermodulation distortion (IMD) applications and the amplitudes of these components are expanded up to third degree by using laser rate equations with in the system theory approach. From these expansions, the transfer functions of the Volterra kernels H 1, H 2, and H 3 are obtained for only selecting the IMD frequency components. An amplitude difference is found between the frequency components of (2f 1+f 2) and (f 1+2f 2).
