Özet
Increase in gas prices and urgent need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions have raised the importance of hgdropower Over the last few years about 1000 small hydro projects reaching the total installed capacity of 15000 MW were developed by private sector. Some hydro projects having a total installed capacity of 35000 MW projects that were either designed or planned by government agencies were waiting to be constructed by either government or interested private firms. Remaining hydro projects in Turkey are relatively more difficult ones. Therefore, good engineering solutions are required to construct them on time and economically feasible range.
