Abstract

Silene hamzaoglui Budak sp. nova is described as a new species from Çekerek (Yozgat, Turkey). The specimen was collected from calcareous rocky places, at an altitude between 1140 and 1180 m. The new species is similar to Silene duralii Y.Baǧci{dotless} and Silene capillipes Boiss. & Heldr. The differences among these 3 species are discussed. © TÜBİTAK.
