Postinfarction ventricular septal rupture is an infrequent but life threatening complication of acute myocardial infarction which requires early diagnosis and treatment. In this case report, in the light of literature findings reviewed, our technique of anesthesia in a patient who had undergone early surgical repair of ventricular septal rupture and coronary artery bypass grafting has been discussed.
