Abstract
The second law analysis of thermodynamics in the electric arc furnace at a steel producing company was discussed. The energy and conservation analyses were applied to the production of steel process in the electric arc furnace. The scrap pre-heating system, stack gas and cooling water leaving the furnace were also studied.
