Özet
Sternal wire complications following cardiac surgery secondary to displacement or disruption are rare but potentially fatal. This rare but possibly avoidable and potentially fatal complication might not only cause sternal dehiscence but also migrate and injure vital mediastinal structures or compress a coronary artery or a graft as in our case. Here, we report successful management of compression of right sided saphenous vein graft caused by a protruding sternal wire and briefly review the relevant literature.
