X.509 certificates use the device’s public key based communication for device integrity. However, this process incurs a large overhead. Access tokens, on the other hand, have less overhead but have problems with integrity. In the paper, we propose a new authentication scheme based on blockchain. We conducted several experiments to prove that proposed method have less overhead than X.509 certificates, and that the authentication scheme works appropriately.
