Özet

This study examines the thermomechanical performance and filament winding optimization of cylindrical composite body structures for supersonic applications. Extreme flight conditions subject the structures to high aerodynamic heating and mechanical loads requiring lightweight, high-strength materials. A carbon-fiber reinforced phenolic resin system was selected, and the filament winding method was used to produce axially symmetric laminates with precise fiber orientation and high fiber volume fractions. The winding angles were optimized using the Multipurpose Genetic Algorithm (MOGA) integrated with classical laminate theory to balance hardness, strength and deformation. The results show that optimised configurations increase structural stability, reduce radial deformation and maintain safe stress levels indicating the suitability of carbon-phenolic composites for high temperature supersonic airframes.
