Özet

Mania typically occurs as part of bipolar affective disorder, but it may occur secondary to neurological causes, metabolic conditions, infections, polycythemia and some of drugs. This kind of a situation is named as secondary mania. Various secondary mania cases have been reported related with antidepressants, steroids, acyclovir, isoniazid, amphetamines, sulbuthiamine, propafenone, procyclydine and dextrometorphan. In this casereport, we report a manic episode that developed with high dose use of trospium chloride, a non-selective, anticholinergic drug which is used in the treatment of overactive bladder.
