INVESTIGATING STUDENTS’ AND INSTRUCTORS’ IDEAS AND COMMENTS ABOUT LANGUAGE HOMEWORK

Abstract

Present study aims to investigate students’ and instructors’ ideas and

comments about language homework and find if there are any similarities

and differences between these two groups. To this end, a research

was conducted at TOBB University of Technology and Economics

(TOBB ETU) Preparatory School in 2011-2012 academic year. To

learn participants’ views on homework 286 students and 23 instructors

have answered a questionnaire. Results showed that there were

both some similarities and differences between these two groups.

However, the number of the differences was more than similarities.
