Özet

Heavy metal contamination, particularly from lead (Pb), poses a significant threat to environmental and human health. In this study, we synthesized Reduced Graphene Oxide/Polyaniline (rGO/PANI) nanocomposites in varying ratios (1:1, 1:2, 1:5, and 1:10) and evaluated their performance in removing lead ions from aqueous solutions. The synthesized nanocomposites were characterized using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS), and Raman Spectroscopy to confirm their structural integrity and morphological features. Electrochemical analysis via square-wave anodic stripping voltammetry (SWASV) revealed that the 1:2 rGO/PANI nanocomposite exhibited the highest Pb ion adsorption and removal efficiency. The superior performance of the 1:2 ratio was attributed to the optimal balance between rGO's conductivity and PANI's adsorptive properties, providing increased active surface sites and enhanced electrochemical interactions. SEM and EDS analyses confirmed a uniform distribution of lead ions on the nanocomposite surface, while Raman spectroscopy validated the successful integration of rGO and PANI within the composite. In contrast, higher PANI concentrations in the 1:5 and 1:10 ratios led to a denser structure, limiting the accessibility of active sites and reducing adsorption efficiency. These findings underscore the importance of optimizing the rGO/PANI ratio for effective lead removal. The 1:2 rGO/PANI nanocomposite demonstrates significant potential as a cost-effective and efficient material for water purification. Future work should focus on enhancing the scalability and reusability of the composite and investigating its removal efficiency for other heavy metals under various environmental conditions. This study contributes to the development of advanced nanocomposite materials for environmental remediation applications.
