Abstract: This presentation explores the role of a summer bootcamp model in fostering learner autonomy through a CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) approach. By integrating CLIL principles, students not only acquire language and employability skills but also develop autonomy in navigating complex, real-world challenges. Scrum-inspired scaffolding within the bootcamps (on computer aided design, web development and communication skills) supports learners in goal-setting, collaborative problem-solving, and peer mentorship. This structure enhances self-regulation and resilience, essential components of autonomous learning. Reflective data from participant experiences reveal increased self-efficacy, adaptive learning strategies, and heightened motivation to engage actively in their learning journeys. Our findings underscore CLIL's potential to create autonomous, empowered learners who are prepared for the global workplace.
