Abstract

With the development of technology, the rate of playing games is increasing gradually. The effects of game features on users are investigated and it is aimed to affect users positively (behavior, knowledge, pleasure, etc.). With the popularity of geographical information systems, the use of real-world environments in games has become widespread. In this research, it is aimed to develop an interactive game with a realistic and gamified virtual environment, with this game, the users can learn the city where the game takes place while having fun. In addition, the effect of elevation and texture on learning the city was measured with user tests. The results show that height and texture coatings increase recognizing and learning about the city.
