Özet
With the widespread use of Industry 4.0, Digital Twin has begun to be used in many areas. First, in the early 2000s, Dr. Digital Twin
technology, used by Michael Grieves for the maintenance and repair of spacecraft at NASA, produces benefits in many sectors today
[1]. Digital Twin represents a virtual simulation of physical systems, providing real-time prediction and optimization in areas such
as product design and development, production, operation and maintenance, training and simulation in a digital environment [2]. As
a result of the research, not many studies have been found on the use of Digital Twin technology in solar energy systems, which are
expected to receive a lot of investment in our country and the world in the coming years [1]. In particular, a method that goes from
high-resolution snapshot photography to a functional digital twin has not yet been developed. At this point, creating digital twins of
photovoltaic panels, which are the cornerstones of solar energy systems, which are renewable, easily accessible and clean energy
sources, with the help of high-resolution photographs; The process of generating electricity from solar energy can provide benefits in
many areas such as operational, efficiency, cost, accessibility, waste reduction, predicting problems and even training. The research
was carried out on a renewable energy set consisting of 10 Wp photovoltaic panels in the Energy Systems Engineering laboratory of
Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. The photo of the solar panels in a panel experiment set with AC and DC connections and its own
lighting system was taken with 3 different camera lenses (Canon 27 – 105 mm lens, Canon 18 – 55 mm lens, Iphone 11 phone
camera lenses). Among the photographs obtained, those with the best exposure, brilliance, shadows and contrast settings were
selected and analyzed in the ImageJ program. As a result of the analysis, deformations on the panel were detected.
